Passing results from CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test)

Substitutes for Kids First Program needed to work between 11:00 am and 2:05 pm for the first month of school with the Kindergarteners at Hillview Crest Elementary, Searles Elementary, Emanuele Elementary, Pioneer Elementary, Alvarado Elementary and Eastin Elementary. Substitute RCA1 General paraprofessionals needed for Kids Zone, 21st. Century After School Program at Cesar Chavez MS, Emanuele and Searles Elementary Schools on an if and as needed basis. Substitutes are needed for 1.5 hours per day (2:00-3:30 PM for Emanuele and Searles Elementary Schools and 3:00-4:30 PM for Cesar Chavez MS) on regular school days. For MINIMUM days, substitutes are needed 12:00-2:00 PM for Emanuele and Searles Elementary Schools and 12:00-3:00 PM for Cesar Chavez MS. Total work hours per day cannot exceed 7.5 hours. Substitute Custodians, Cafeteria Assistants, Classroom Assistants, Campus Safety Technicians and Bus Drivers Needed on an if and as needed basis. *We are currently in need of Classroom Assistant substitutes. All classroom assistants must have one of the following: AA degree or higher from an accredited college or university; 48 or more college semester units from an accredited college or university; verification of passing results from a county-wide instructional assistant examination as required by NCLB.
Translators Language translators are needed on an if and as needed basis. You must be able to speak, read, and write the language you will be tested in. Please call (510) 471-1100, ext. 0 to sign up for testing. *We are currently in need of translators for Mandarin, American Sign Language, Vietnamese, Tagalog and Punjabi.
Classified Testing Information All Classified testing is being scheduled based on open positions. If you are not a current employee of NHUSD and are interested in an open position please apply on https://www.edjoin.org/nhusd. Once you have applied, we will call you to set up testing appointments as quickly as possible depending on the number of applicants.
