Family Center Manager

New Haven Unified School District


Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Family Center, administer, plan, coordinate and conduct activities related to all Family Center programs including after school programs, academic interventions, youth development program, early childhood initiatives, and parent and community engagement; assist with planning, coordinating, or overseeing the family resource center; coordinate and collaborate with site and District personnel to facilitate Family Center initiatives and grants, and school site delivery of Family Center services to students.


  • Plan, coordinate and conduct activities related to the Zone 21st CCLC after school and summer programs
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct activities related to early childhood initiatives
  • Supervise and evaluate Family Center staff; and Zone after school site program managers and staff
  • Provide staff development for Family Center and Zone staff
  • Collaborate with sites to oversee UCFC grant funding to include, academic interventions and ensure grant deliverables are being met
  • Work directly with youth and outside partners on conceptualizing, designing and implementing a youth development programs and projects
  • Plan, coordinate and lead community engagement activities
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the operation of a family resource center
  • Work closely with Family Center partners to leverage services for students and families
  • Collaborate and contribute to data collection processes and procedures for Family Center projects
  • Organize, compile, and analyze data collected for state, federal grant reporting purposes
  • Prepare necessary reports and presentation materials
  • Assist with fund development
  • Operate a variety of office equipment including a computer and specialized software including desktop publishing, charts and graphics, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Any combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of experience in instructional leadership, community development, or non-profit program implementation; valid teaching credential preferred
