Grab and Go Meal Clarification (Spanish translation included)

Dear New Haven Community,

The New Haven Unified School District is continuing to distribute free, “grab and go” breakfasts and lunches to school-aged children.  Meals are available for pick-up on Mondays and Thursdays between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., from June 14 through July 15 (excluding July 5)  at the sites below:

  • Pioneer Elementary School

  • Hillview Crest Elementary Schoo

  • Searles Elementary School

  • Cesar Chavez Middle School 

  • James Logan High School from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

 

Each Student will receive the following:

Monday – 3 days of breakfasts & lunches

Thursday – 4 days of breakfasts & lunches

 

A communication went out yesterday regarding a food distribution event at the Union City Family Center (UCFC) that may have led some to believe that the District was no longer distributing these meals.  We apologize for any confusion.

Estimada comunidad de New Haven,
 
El Distrito Escolar Unificado de New Haven continúa distribuyendo gratuitamente desayunos y almuerzos “para llevar” a los niños en edad escolar.  Se pueden recoger estos alimentos los lunes y jueves entre la 1:00 y las 3:00 p.m., del 14 de junio al 15 de julio (excluyendo el 5 de julio) en las siguientes escuelas:
 
Primaria Pioneer
Primaria Hillview Crest
Primaria Searles
Secundaria Cesar Chavez 
Preparatoria James Logan de 1:30 a 3:30 p.m.
 
Cada estudiante recibirá lo siguiente:
